Sam Kerch is an Arizona CPA with a background in the technology, tax, accounting and payroll industries. He is currently the Controller and Director of Tax Compliance at Symmetry Software, a payroll software company in Scottsdale, AZ.  He also runs a tax preparation and consulting business specializing in individual and small business returns. He has been quoted in many national newspapers and is also a speaker at payroll meetings around the country.  Because of his background, his posts will contain topics from economics, payroll, tax, accounting, fraud and financial planning.

Sam is a member of the board of directors of the Arizona Bluegrass Association (treasurer), Valley Academy Charter School, and Cornerstone Baptist Church (treasurer).  He is a member of the American Payroll Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Kentucky Society of CPAs, the Arizona Society of CPAs, and the National Association of Tax Professionals.

He enjoys Bluegrass music and plays a mean 5-string banjo, guitar, trombone and baritone horn.
